Day 17 & 18 : KL – KL tower – Come back home

We have breakfast and leave our luggage in an improvised left-luggage office: It is an apartment under construction used by artisans as clandestine luggage store in order to earn some extra money. They charge us 20 RM (4 €) for 2 bags. We take a Grab towards the “KL Tower” (“Menara Tower”) by paying 5 RM (1 €)

To KL Tower

The day before, we had booked a lunch on the internet in the tower restaurant: « Atmosphere 360 ». It’s a buffet restaurant with a 360 ° view of the city. It’s a rotating platform, staying at your place, you see the whole city

You can book for:

  • Lunch: for 128 RM (28 €) per person and choose the first session (11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) or the second (1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
  • Dinner: for 232 RM (50 €) per person and choose the first session (6.30 p.m. – 8.30 p.m.) or the second (9 p.m. – 11 p.m.)

We chose the second lunch session by paying an additional 25 RM (5.5 €) to have a seat next to the windows.
The view is spoiled by the smog but it’s still interesting.

The buffet was acceptable but not excellent:

Lunch at KL Tower : Atmosphere 360

it’s very hot and it becomes very complicated to breathe, we decide to return to the hotel to collect our bags and rest in the lobby of the hotel tower. We leave for the airport in Grab paying 75 RM (16 €): 65 + 10 for the toll. The KL International Airport (KLIA) is huge.

To have an idea about the size of the airport, there is a subway that links the boarding gates! (Not the terminals, the boarding Gates).

KLIA

We take off at 11 p.m. to Istanbul for an 11 hours of flight. Our stay ends, we leave memories full head ❤

Landing at Istanbul

After a stopover of 3 hours, we take off for Brussels. This is it 😦
