It’s nice to wake up in the ferry about to arrive in Sardinia
We arrive in Olbia around 07:00. On booking.com, it is noted that our accommodation will be available at 5.30 p.m. Chatting with the host via WhatsApp, he tells us that he will be available at 3:00 p.m. In the meantime, we go for discovering the surroundings of the accommodation.
Accomodation : La Maison De Gioel
Address : Via Malta, 18, 07026 Olbia, Italie
4 nights, from 07/21/2021 to 07/25/2021
Price : 548 € for 3 persons
Reservation : Booking.com
The accommodation is located at 10 minutes from the port and at a short walk from the center of Olbia. The location is perfect, the neighborhood is quiet. 200 meters from the house, there is a small cafe « La Deliziosa Gelateria e Pasticceria Artigianale ». Right next to it, there is a supermarket : « MD », that will be great for grocery shopping. It’s perfect !
After breakfast (7.90 € for 3 coffees and 3 pastries), we go for the beach: « Spiaggia La Celvia »:
The beach has a dedicated car park. We pay € 7.50 for the day (price per hour : €1.5). Let’s go for our first swim in Sardinia. It is a beautiful little beach with crystal clear water.
One thing to do at “Spiaggia La Celvia” beach is to rent a pedal boat (€15 per hour) to go to the “Spiaggia dell’Elefante” located at 10 minutes away
« Spiaggia dell’Elefante » is a small beach with very clear water. The beach takes its name from an elephant shaped rock (you will need some imagination 🙂 )
At 2:30 p.m., we leave the beach towards « La maison de Gioel ». Our host left us the keys in a box outside and sent us the code and all the necessary information by WhatsApp. The house is a marvel, one of our favorite accomodations ever ❤ . It is clean, very well equipped (hob, oven, fridge, air conditioning, washing machine, TV, wifi, etc.). The house has a kitchen, a living room, 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, wc and a small internal courtyard with a washing machine. Parking places are available on the street. We have nothing to say 🙂
Tired from the ferry journey of the day before and the day at the beach, let’s take a nap. We go out in the evening to discover Olbia. « Corso Umberto I » is the lively area of the city:
This is the district of restaurants, cafes and bars, located not far from the port
