This is our departure day from New York. Our flight to Milwaukee is at 5:30 pm from JFK

We take advantage of the morning to take a tour of Manhattan.

We choose the « Bryant Park » for breakfast.
Bryant Park is a French garden surrounded by skyscrapers. It is a place loved by tourists but also by New Yorkers for its peaceful and lively atmosphere.

You can have coffee and donuts in one of the many stands and use the park chairs.

After « Bryant Park« , we take a tour at the streets of Manhattan before returning to our accommodation.
We pass in front of the « Flat Iron Building« . It is a building recognizable by its original iron shape (Flatiron). Its shape is due to the intersection at this location of Fifth Avenue with Broadway. Broadway being the only avenue in New York that runs diagonally. Broadway is the mythical place known for musicals.

We return to our Airbnb to collect our luggage and leave for JFK airport.

Milwaukee is the largest city of the 30th state of the United States: Wisconsin. It is located on the shore of Lake Michigan about 150 km from Chicago. It is known for its breweries and its role in the beer industry.

We had the opportunity to take a short tour of Milwaukee by car.
We start the day with a typical breakfast in a diner.
Diners are the typical American restaurants known in popular culture

We were recommended Ma Fischer’s Diner (2214 N Farwell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202)

Then we start our tour by car with a stop in front of the “Milwaukee Art Museum” which marks the beginning of the Corniche on the shores of Lake Michigan.

You can have a coffee in a must-see address in the city and start the tour: Colectivo Lakefront (43°03’12.4″N 87°53’12.6″W).
The lake and the corniche are magnificent. We continue our tour towards the chic neighborhoods of “Shorewood” and “Whitefish Bay”. We end our tour in the Trader Joe’s grocery store (43°07’07.9″N 87°54’58.9″W). You can discover local products there.

During our stay in Milwaukee, we were also able to visit the outlet « Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets » located 40 minutes by car from Milwaukee. If you are interested, know that there can be good deals on certain brands, handbags and shoes in outlets at the United States

The wedding we attended took place in Oshkosh, an hour and a half from Milwaukee. This allowed us to take a nice drive in the state of Wisconsin and discover beautiful landscapes in Oshkosh.

If you have the opportunity to be in Milwaukee, know that you can visit Chicago in one day by train or by car. We made the trip to Chicago but to catch our return flight to Brussels
