New York is huge and we have only few days to visit. You have to be well organized. Today’s program:
- Walk through the streets of Manhattan
- Take a tour of Central Park
- See Times Square during the day
- Cross the Brooklyn Bridge
- Visit the Brooklyn neighborhood
We start by walking to the Journal Square station to take the PATH train to New York.

After a PATH/Subway connection, we arrive in New York at the « Lexington Av/63 St » station. After a short walk through the streets of Manhattan among the skyscrapers, we arrive at Central Park

Central Park is the lungs of New York city. With its 4 km long and 800 m wide, you can spend hours there and get lost

The park is huge and very lively

Central Park is also known for being the playground of squirrels

We take a 2-hour tour of the park with a sunny weather

We end our tour with the exit at the level of the tower « San Remo Apartments«

After this magnificent tour of Central Park, we take the C line of the Subway to go see Times Square during the day (even if the place is more spectacular at night. But we will come back to that). We get off at the 50 St station
Times Square is known for its thousands of light screens. It is one of the most famous and lively places in the world. It owes its name to the former headquarters of the New York Times. It is nicknamed « Crossroads of the world« .

In the Times Square district, you will find Macy’s. It is the largest store in New York. It is made with the same principle as the Galeries Lafayette in Paris

We take a quick tour in the streets of Times Square and return to our accommodation for a short rest. At the end of the afternoon, we leave for the Wall Trade Center station via the PATH train.

The WTC station is located in the Wall Street business district

We leave on foot for the Brooklyn Bridge
PS: To cross the Brooklyn Bridge on foot, you have to go to the beginning of the bridge, quite far from the bank of the East River

As soon as we start to cross the Brooklyn Bridge, a heavy rain forces us to return back.

We could enjoy the view of the Wall Street district from the bridge

We return to our accommodation in New Jersey. We will come back to visit Brooklyn another day.
