It is a small apartment in the center of the village of Triggiano. It is well located and well equipped. The negative point of this apartment is the cleanliness and the smell of cigarette. We stay there only one night. It is our last night in Puglia.

Bari

Bari is the capital of the Puglia region
We start our tour in the historic center of the city (Bari Vecchia). The old town is beautiful with its narrow and picturesque streets, its colorful houses, its ancient churches, and its small craft shops.

We pass in front of the Basilica of San Nicola

Our tour in Bari is cut short by the tiredness of our child. We choose to return to our accommodation and return the next morning to have a tour the city

Bari

We start by walking around Bari Vecchia. We love the morning atmosphere of the city

In the alleys of Bari Vecchia you will certainly come across women making artisanal pasta in the street. It is a surprising sight.

We take a tour in the Basilica of San Nicola. It is an emblematic site of Bari, where the relics of Saint Nicholas are venerated. The Romanesque building is impressive and its interior atmosphere, serene and mystical.
A few minutes walk away, we find the Castello Svevo di Bari. It is a medieval castle dating back to the 12th century. It is a fascinating testimony to the military history of Bari.

We also stroll through the lively shopping streets (Corso Cavour, Via Andrea da Bari, Via Alessandro Maria Calefati…)
We end the morning with a stroll on the lungomare (seaside promenade) of Bari. This stroll allows us to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Adriatic Sea.

We pass by the port, with its fishing boats and yachts, we enjoy the fresh air. It is the perfect place to relax and admire the panorama before leaving the beautiful city of Bari

We say goodbye to Bari and head to the airport to return our rental car and take our flight to Paris

The airport serves many European destinations and some international destinations, with flights mainly to Italy and surrounding regions. It is easily accessible from the city by bus, taxi or car. Bari – Paris

In total, we traveled 1,150 km. We loved Puglia with its villages, beaches, sun and especially with its inhabitants.
It is a region that is both touristic and rural. It is authentic and full of life.
Puglia is definitely a good place to spend a holiday between beach, relaxation and visits.

We leave Puglia after an unforgettable stay, feeling both gratitude and nostalgia. We leave with, already, a kind of melancholy. This region, with its varied landscapes ranging from beaches to hills dotted with olive trees, surprised and amazed us at every moment. We tasted local dishes, exchanged with warm locals, and admired magnificent landscapes and monuments. We will gladly return to lose ourselves again in this quiet beauty.
