We had the opportunity to visit Lake Como during a road trip in Italy and mainly in Sardinia in July 2021

Our accommodation is perfectly located in the village of « Menaggio », 4 minutes walk away from the ferry pier that crosses the Como Lake
We take a return ticket to Varenna without the car (9.2 € per person). Below are the prices and timetables of the ferries that connect the different villages of Como Lake
Depending on the boat you take, you can board by car or not
To cross the lake until Varenna, the journey takes around 15 minutes. The landscape is beautiful
We arrive at the village of « Varenna ».
We advise you to take the wonderful alley « Greenway Del Patriarchi » to start the visit
It is a charming village with picturesque little streets
The village of « Varenna » also has little beautiful beaches
On the way back to the pier, we took a sit on a charming little coffee bar « Bar Il Molo » (46°00’37.7″N 9°16’57.3″E)
2 coffees and 2 paninis for € 20 in a magnificent place.
We take the ferry back to Menaggio. Be careful to note the ferry times, otherwise you could wait a little more than an hour if you miss one by a few minutes.
We take the road to Milano along the coast of Lake Como passing through the beautiful village of « Bellagio »
« Bellagio » is considered as the most beautiful village of Lake Como with a magnificent view
