Bari (Italy) in a few hours

We had the opportunity to visit Bari during a Mediterranean cruise in August 2015

We arrive in Bari on 08/10/2015 at 2:00 p.m., we have less than 6 hours to visit the city. The departure is at 8:00 p.m.

In 5 hours we had time to visit the old town of Bari and its most important monuments.

Bari

At each stopover of the cruise, COSTA proposes excursions to visit the city or to do an activity. Prices vary from 50€ to 120€ per person. You can always do the tours yourself(sometimes the same tour offered by the company) much cheaper. But, it is necessary to prepare the necessary information before. The internet connection is very expensive on the boat and you will never find information about public transport because the cruise company “pushes” you to pay for its excursions. We did not take any Costa excursion and That is with no regrets.

For Bari, the cruise company proposes a tour of the old town. You can do it yourself at a lower cost. We take the free shuttle bus provided by COSTA to go downtown. If your cruise does not offer this service, you can take the public transport company bus for €1 per person. Buses are very frequent and easily found.
